Hi I’m Liam, a recent winner of the Nuffield ‘Make it, don’t break it’ competition. My first month has been tough to say the least. Having done limited exercise before my personal training sessions started I was really concerned about how I’d get on. One month in I can confirm I’m surviving, and actually the more it continues the more confident I’m becoming, which is really helping me to push myself to improve my fitness levels.
It’s back! The wonderful Leeds Restaurant Week returns this August from Saturday 11th August to Sunday 19th August 2018 offering delicious food for a bargain price! And here at The Light, we have lots of ways to get involved…
Hi I’m Ella, one of the lucky Nuffield Health ‘Make it, don’t break it’ competition. It’s been quiet a month. As you may already know from the first blog, my goal is to get fit ahead of a triathlon I want to partake in next year. Whilst I’m not overweight, I am physically unfit, so I’m using this competition prize to address my motivation levels and hopefully get fit enough to train well in advance of the triathlon next Summer.
Ever get stuck for ideas on how to keep the little ones entertained during the summer holidays? It’s safe to say you’re not alone! But here at The Light, we’ve teamed up with Leeds City Council’s Child Friendly Leeds project to launch a series of family fun activities to provide free entertainment to families across the city during the school holidays.
Earlier this year, we challenged you guys to share exactly why you deserved to win a £1,000 fitness prize with Nuffield Health here at The Light. After a staggering number of entrants, we’re delighted to announce our two winners, Liam Pearce and Ella Sykes.
