Doing it for the kids – The Light is launching free Sunday clubs throughout the summer holidays

Ever get stuck for ideas on how to keep the little ones entertained during the summer holidays? It’s safe to say you’re not alone!

But here at The Light, we’ve teamed up with Leeds City Council’s Child Friendly Leeds project to launch a series of family fun activities to provide free entertainment to families across the city during the school holidays.

Every Sunday throughout the summer, beginning on the 29th July, we’ll be hosting a range of exciting activities, from a dinosaur workshop, to slime making, circus skills and plant pot painting, to help keep the little monkeys entertained, and give any tired parents a welcome break.

Stephanie James, marketing manager at The Light, explained: “As a mum myself, I know how important it is to have family friendly spaces in the city centre to relax, have fun and entertain the kids. Here at The Light, we’re committed to supporting families across the city, so it made perfect sense for us to team up with Child Friendly Leeds as part of this city wide initiative.

“Over the years we have delivered a wide range of fun, engaging and family friendly activities, pop ups and events, which have all been really successful. We’re confident that these workshops will be every bit as successful and can’t wait to see families from across the city rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck into our schedule of creative activities.”
