Experience the Magic: The Light in Leeds Announces Sensory-Friendly Santa’s Grotto

The Light in Leeds has announced that it will be hosting an inclusive SEND-friendly (special educational needs and disabilities) Santa’s grotto at the centre, this December.

The Light’s ‘Sensory Wonderland,’ located on the arcade level, opposite Junkyard Golf, will feature a grotto hosted by a SEND-friendly Santa and elf duo, who are also able to speak and sign Makaton, to ensure that the sometimes-overwhelming festive season can be enjoyed by all.

The event will take place on Saturday 16^th and Sunday 17^th December, between 11am-3pm, with tickets available for purchase through EventBrite; and all proceeds will go towards supporting Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm.

The Sensory Wonderland is an inclusive event, suitable for all children between ages 2-8 and will feature a calming colour scheme and atmosphere.

The 17^th Leeds City Council is also putting on a Christmas Crafts session in the Quiet Zone outside of Vue Cinemas on the balcony level.
